Dr. Dama


Dr. Dama brings medical and media acumen to her position as Director of Communications.A physician and featured content writer about health issues, Dr. Dama's media publications reflect her professional experience with health-related disabilities and general medical disorders, including: orthopedic injuries, metabolic syndrome, gout,hepatitis, heart disease, sickle cell anemia, psychiatric disorders, vitiligo, HIV/AIDS, addiction, Parkinson's Disease, amyotropic lateral sclerosis and Lewy body dementia.As a physician, Dr. Dama understands that stress often accompanies requests for information and, through her work as a writer, she is experienced in "translating" complex medical issues into accessible language.

A Dean’s Honor Roll graduate of Drexel University, Dr. Dama has been elected to membership in the Beta Beta Beta Biological Honors Society, the Phi Sigma Pi National Honors Fraternity and the Phi Eta Sigma National Honors Society.

As a Clinical Information Manager in the Montefiore and New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell systems, Dr. Dama has been distinguished by a talent for communication that is fast and accurate. Dr. Dama’s communication skills have been further honed in the high-pressure environment of the Department of Interventional Cardiology at Mt. Sinai Hospital (N.Y.).
